What the percentage can tell you
A percentage such as 95%, 97% or 98% can communicate a relative appearance level within a seller’s catalog. It may help buyers narrow a search, but it does not define a precise number of scratches or guarantee any function.
What it does not tell you
- Whether the display, battery, cameras, biometric functions and ports pass testing.
- Whether parts are original, replaced or previously repaired.
- Whether scratches are visible with the screen on or only under angled light.
- Whether the photographed unit is the exact unit that will be shipped.
Turn a label into an inspection request
Ask for front, back, frame, corner, camera-glass and screen-on images. Request close-ups of disclosed marks and a note of any issue not clear in the photos. For a batch, ask how many units may differ from the sample and what variation is accepted.
